For Christmas, my parents gave us the gorgeous Moroccan headboard from West Elm. I’ve been dreaming about it since the first time I saw it in the catalog. Have you seen it?

We currently have a platform bed from Overstock, in black. So I imagine we’ll be painting that frame white to match the new headboard very soon. 🙂
A couple of months ago we bought a large 9×12 foot dark gray and white lattice rug, similar to this one, from Rugs USA. (who happen to be having an amazing sale right now. If you’re looking for a rug, many are 65% off using the code NY2013 – it expires on 1/7/13.)
To complete the look of the room, I’m leaning towards some gray and white striped curtains. I’d line them with black out material, but use the tutorial from Hyphen Interiors to create these (found on Pinterest):
We have a small reading chair in the corner of the room, and I’m considering recovering it in this fabric (Spring, Aloe Mix), by Robert Allen:
Our bedroom currently has some bird prints above the bed, and it has gray walls, which read as an icy blue at night. We will ditch the blue-ish bedspread, keeping the white pleated one below it.
So what do you think? Any other ideas on curtains or bedding?

I absolutely LOVE the striped curtains, the fabric/pattern photo after that and the vintage looking birds in the last photo! I’m sure this is going to be a wonderfully awesome project!!

Good morning! ‘Visiting from the Great Blog Train. I love gray and white! Do you plan to use a pop of color anywhere? Perhaps your bedding could be white with vibrant toss pillows. -Marci @ Stone Cottage Adventures
Hi Marci – yes, I’ve got plans for a yellow highlight, and likely a turquoise or green pop too. Great idea 🙂 and thank you for stopping by!
and Hi Nonny! I’ll stop by both Stone Cottage and Notions from Nonny in just a moment 🙂
