A Quiet Place to Rest

We had our “Living Joy to the Fullest” retreat today and it was just what I needed. After a long week, it was wonderful to find a quite place to sit and gather thoughts amongst the graceful California Live Oaks.

A quiet seat
In Northern California, our hillsides are only green for a few weeks in the spring, and then they turn “golden” as the grasses dry in the summer. It was felt like a homecoming to take in this view of Mount Diablo. I grew up just North of here, and went to high school at the foot of his mountain.

I breathed a little easier being out in nature, seeing God’s beauty every where I looked. Big, fluffy clouds looked as if they’d been painted on the sky.
