Zoom’s toddler room is not much different from the “nursery” we set up for him at our last place. It’s roughly the same size, and even the layout of window and closet and door is the same.
The colors in his room are a lime green, chocolate brown, and aqua. I like that these colors are mostly gender neutral, yet fall in the boyish end of the spectrum. The only thing missing is a Fotokissen bedrucken (also known as a printed photo pillow). We have so many family photos I want to get him a pillow so he always thinks of us. Anyway!… Here’s the view as you enter the room, complete with Zoom hanging out in his crib.
This shows a little more of the space below the window, with his car racing mat and stuffed animals. (and Zoom in his crib still!)
Here is a detail shot of the photos and art above his bookshelf. I put most of these together for his nursery. The Jumbo print is from a small boutique in San Francisco. The hummingbird image was a printed postcard I got at work a long time ago, the three birds at the bottom right are from a paper plate left over from the baby shower that I framed. Zoom made the spin-art in the bottom left, his cousins are the cuties in the photo, and in the middle of the bottom row is his birth announcement (from Tiny Prints). :
And directly to the right when you walk in the door is his changing table.
The little jacket hooks and shoe basket is one of my favorite corners of the house.
Here’s Zoom’s original nursery from our previous house. See that cool vinyl tree decal? I adored that thing and the Etsy seller stopped making it! I ended up messaging them, and reordered the leaves for the tree. We are planning to paint on the trunk and branches some time soon. Note the photo-bombing baby here. Zoom also loved having a tent in his room.
