A little while back, Liz posted a prom tag on her blog, and it was fun reading about her proms. At my high school, we had a Senior Ball, and a Junior Prom. We split out the dances, and while this is likely obvious, the Ball was just for Seniors and the Prom was just for Juniors; they were separate events on different nights. My Senior Ball was held at the San Francisco Gift Center, which is a gorgeous old warehouse. Funny, I later worked only a few blocks from there during the dotcom boom.
This picture is from my Senior Ball, and it’s with my best friend, Tammy. We’re still best friends! I am the one on the left:
I don’t have a picture with my date, who was named Marc. Marc was a junior, so I went to both the Ball and the Prom my senior year. Woohoo! We broke up when I went off to college. Last I knew of Marc, he lived in LA and was working in either the music or film industry. We didn’t stay close, and that’s just fine with me.
